Our award winner:
Honoring Sara Vienna
Some people don’t just host parties; they change the culture. Sara Vienna Herland is one of those people.

As co-founder and driving force behind Evrysome (2017–2025), Sara helped seed a sex-positive nightlife in Oslo that centered consent, inclusion, and intentionality—a scene where queer, trans, and otherwise marginalized folks could experience dignity, play, and freedom side by side. Evrysome’s productions were not only electrifying; they were designed ecosystems of safety, with consent education, visible care roles, and clear community norms—practices that many of us (including OsloErotic, Mollyland, and Lollipop) have carried forward and adapted in our own ways.

Sara’s vision also bridged Oslo with the broader European liberation movements—bringing Berlin’s sex-positive, art-driven energy into Norwegian nightlife through collaborations and bookings that put values first: consent, diversity, bodily autonomy, and artistic daring.

What distinguishes Sara is not only what she built, but how she built it. Evrysome normalized consent workshops, care teams/consent roles in club settings, and membership-based entry with intentional vetting—practical structures that reduce harm and increase trust, so people can actually relax into exploration. That work later evolved into Evrysome Consultancy, extending these tools into workplaces and schools to help build “consensual spaces” beyond nightlife.

In 2025, after eight intense years, Sara announced the closing of Evrysome—a conscious ending that honored the community and its legacy. Closing does not diminish a legacy like this; it crystallizes it. So much of what many now take for granted in Oslo’s sex-positive culture—safer environments, clear consent language, care-forward staffing, and intentional curation—was pioneered and popularized here.

For vision, for courage, and for the structures that make freedom feel safe, we salute Sara Vienna Herland—recipient of the Sexual Diversity Award at Oslo Erotic 2025.
Thank you, Sara. Your work expanded what our city believes is possible—and gave countless souls their first taste of being fully seen, fully safe, and fully free.
